Apple Valley Orchard invites daycare, pre-school, kindergarten and elementary school age children to see firsthand how apples are harvested, cleaned and ready to eat. The tour cost per child includes an apple, an apple cider donut and coloring book. The cost is $3 per child or parent. Teachers escorting children are admitted free of charge.

Our educational school tours help children understand how much care and effort is involved in bringing delicious, healthy food to their table. The tour is approximately one hour and includes:

• Ride the “Apple Worm Tram” through the orchard and woods, learning about the process of growing apples.
• Watch how donuts are made.
• Watch a demonstration of the apple washer and polisher.
• Walk into the refrigerated storage room where each person receives an apple to eat.
• Each child receives a coloring book.

All tours are by reservation only. Online reservations are not final until you receive a confirmation.
